Additional 1/2 day Theory Home Study
Working on a model students will learn to use to use airbrushed makeup techniques to apply foundation, blusher and bronzer to produce a flawless makeup for Caucasian, Asian and African skin tones on both young and mature skin types, covering all aspects of beauty, special occasion & bridal makeup application.
Our airbrush makeup training is not brand focused, students are encouraged to experiment with different airbrush makeup productss and equipment.
To enrol in this airbrush makeup class students must have reached a standard equivalent to the makeup training given in the Makeup Box Studio 'Foundation Makeup Training Programme.'

Airbrushed makeup is ideal for makeup artists working in HD, TV, Film, and Print. Introduction & history of airbrushing.
Client care & contra-indications.
Different compressor & airbrush systems.
Airbrush & compressor, cleaning, maintenance, set up, trouble shooting.
Working with silicone & water based makeup products.
Airbrush exercises include 2D freehand spray patterns & line control.
Colour theory & the colour wheel.
Preparation of the face for airbrushing.
Makeup application: Foundation colour mixing, blusher, bronzer, highlighting, shading.
Demo by trainer.
Students airbrush a model.
Questions and Answers.
Comprehensive airbrush makeup notes given.
Contact list, introduction to different suppliers.
Certification
A short test theory & practical test will be conducted at the end of the airbrush training to ensure your proficiency in application of air-applied makeup techniques & completed the home study. Successful students receive an industry-recognised certificate.

This is a two day course 9.30 to 4 pm – light lunch provided

Home Study
Students are given learning materials to be read & reference websites to be visited & explored. Students are encouraged to complete a number of makeup applications on friends or family.
Review Session
This is a non-compulsory aspect of your course, & should be viewed as on-going support & problem solving session. These sessions are run on a regular basis & need to be pre-booked.
