Booking Fee Deposits

Bookings will be subject to availability - please contact Karen Loraine to confirm your wedding date. To guarentee your wedding date you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit, which will under no circumstances be redeemable.

Trials

Customers are required to pay the full trial fee on the day of the trial. 24 hours notice must be given if you wish to miss, cancel or reschedule your trial appointment. Failure to do so may mean you will be charged the full cost of the appointment.

Payment Terms

Services may be paid by PayPal, cash, bank transfer, and cheque payment or by credit card.
To book our bridal makeup service a £50.00 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your wedding date.
To book our bridal hair service a £50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date.
To book both your bridal hair and makeup a £100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date.
Following a successful trial a 50% payment for your wedding booking must be made within five days after your trial. (If payment is made in full on the day of your trail you will given a 10% discount on your wedding services).
The remaining outstanding balance of your payment is due no later than two weeks before your wedding day unless agreed otherwise by Karen Loraine.

Additional Costs and Travel

At The Makeup Box Studio, you won’t find any hidden extras! No Sunday or Bank Holiday call out charges, early start supplements, parking charges or local travel costs. (Local being within a 15 mile radius from Horsham, outside the 15 mile radius petrol may be charged at 45 pence for each additional mile).

Cancellations by You

All deposits are non refundable.
If for some reason you decide to cancel the makeup artist or hair stylist after confirming your booking, the following charges will still be payable. The percentages are the proportion of the total fees for the wedding services, including bridesmaids & others that you booked with us the following will be charged.
Six months before the wedding = a cancellation charge of 35% of the total cost of the wedding day services booked will be charged, this is not inclusive of the hair and/or makeup trial.
Two months before the wedding = a cancellation charge of 50% of the total cost of the wedding day services will be charged, this is not inclusive of the makeup and/or hair trial.
Up to one month before the wedding = a cancellation charge of 100% of the total cost of the wedding day services booked, this is not inclusive of the makeup and/or hair trial.
To cancel your booking at any stage written confirmation of your cancellation must given either by email or to by writing to 55 Worthing Road Horsham west Sussex RH13 5PY
Cancellation will take effect from the date of receipt of the written cancellation and you will receive written confirmation of your cancellation and of any cancellation charges that may have been levied.

Cancellations by Us

Until the deposit is received no booking, provisional or otherwise is made. Once I confirm your booking either by phone or email, the date will be reserved for your wedding.
In the unlikely event that I am not able to do your wedding due to ill health your trial will have been documented and pictures taken so that a replacement artist will attend you on your wedding day. In the unlikely event we could not attend your wedding you will refunded in full for your wedding day makeup and/or hair services.

Photography

Any digital photos taken at the trial or on the date of the occasion taken by our artists or by a professional photographer may be added to The Makeup Box Studio professional portfolio or may used on our website and Facebook page for the benefit of future brides and clients to look at.

Other Points

Karen Loraine or any artist working with her is not, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. The onus is on the client to notify The Makeup Box Studio if you knowingly have particular hypersensitivity that you are aware of. If you are sensitive to certain products then we recommend you bring your own product that you are familiar with, our artists will be happy to use these products.
